- ★ ★ ★ ★ ★great area for a get together, a picnic, playing or a perfect jumping off point for walking the river, swimming, or biking the Trans Canada trail. Tons of parking, including boat and trailer and RV parking, clean washrooms, amazing picnic shelter, lots of benches and tables, and a fantastic playground for kids. Great access to the trail where you can walk, bike or horseback ride for tens of kilometers, often along the river and over plenty of breathtaking trestles. The only downside is that there is not a lot of shade, so if it's really hot out, there aren't a lot of places to hide!By Chris Webb, October 06, 2016
